The honeycomb base inserts prevent discoloration of the meat over a long period of time. According to customers, this is around 72 hours for beef. This means you can keep the meat fresh for much longer. In terms of color design, honeycomb bases can either be "tone-in-tone" or provide a color contrast. A welcome side effect: small amounts of escaping meat juices are no longer visible with this technique. If your display plates and trays are fitted with honeycomb bases, paper inserts are no longer necessary.
